ILA BÊKA
& LOUISE LEMOINE

"Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine are two of the foremost architectural artists working today. Their films focus on the relationship of people and design, emphasising the presence of everyday life within some of the most iconic architectural projects of recent decades." Barbican Centre, London

Video-artists, filmmakers, producers and publishers, Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine have been working together for the past 10 years mainly focusing their research on experimenting new narrative and cinematographic forms in relation to contemporary architecture and urban environment. Focusing their interest mainly on how the built environment shapes and influences our daily life, they have developed a very unique and personal approach which can be defined, in reference to French writer Georges Perec, as an "anthropology of the ordinary".

Ahmed Al Refaie
(Owaikeo)

Ahmed Alrefaie (OwaikeO) is an illustrator and graphic designer from Kuwait. Over the years, he has explored many artistic directions but later realized the best direction is perhaps the nearest to him. Our traditions have defined us and that notion serves Ahmed as a key ingredient in all his illustrative work. Ahmed enjoys recreating the Middle Eastern traditions in a completely new perspective, sometimes realistic or funny but more importantly created in the simplest way possible. Throughout his journey, Ahmed challenged himself to learn more about the past and as a result, quickly captured the younger generation’s audience as he has aims to bridge to gap between generations.
