The house that knew too much

What would a coffee machine do if it only knew about my heart problems? What if the same machine is in my office and it knows that I could be more productive with more coffee? We are building a future of things that observe our behaviors and environments, that are able to learn and are trained to make decisions. In this workshop, participants tapped into the weird, awkward, and potentially ironic relationships that emerge when an object knows partial, wrong or even biased information about its user.
