Collaboration in the Studio
Illustration: Drawing and Painting, VCU Richmond

Annette Allen, Chris Kindred, Fahmida Azim
The goal of our project was to assess the benefits of collaboration in the studio and interpret those benefits individually through illustration. Finally, we tied the three pieces together into a poster series to promote studio collaboration amongst other artists.
The studio affords artists the space to immediately and effectively bolster each other's creative output via sharing techniques and concepts which enhance the quality of their individual projects, accelerate individual growth, and boost the credibility of all artists within the space. Our process in itself was a practice of studio collaboration, as we researched, played with ideas, and worked on illustrations together, often spending many hours in the same few rooms.
